In collaboration with the homeowners and Hansen Design, this renovation reimagines the home by opening up the interior to introduce light, flow, and a renewed sense of space. Beginning at the foundation, nearly two inches of sag were corrected in the failing floor system, allowing for the removal of awkward transitions and the installation of warm wood flooring that runs seamlessly throughout. The removal of an existing chimney and the addition of a new patio door transformed the kitchen, inviting in natural light that had never reached the space before. This connection to the outdoor deck also enhances the home’s ability to host and entertain with ease. Custom cabinetry by Wooshop 506 brings both craftsmanship and creativity to the kitchen, incorporating clever storage solutions and thoughtful details. Bold wallpaper and a neon sign add personality, giving the space a distinct and memorable identity. A new roof and redesigned deck complete the transformation, improving flow and function while creating a comfortable, cohesive environment the homeowners can truly enjoy.
